![]() I bet Ableton is a blast once you get into it a bit. I like the philosophy Reaper and the agility of the code, even if I found it's workflow inscrutable and it's GUI, even 'skinned', squat and unappealing (though it looks as if 4 is going to address this). I think Studio One looks fantastic and has a few features I wish I could utilize. Do I doubt that other DAW software wouldn't address these little frustrations in a meaningful way? Not at all. Listen, I won't claim that Sonar is flawless I've butted my head against its bugs and peculiarities many times. I'm not going to have a top-line home studio just yet, so I can make do with what I have and get some work done or at least have some creative fun. In terms of computer and hardware I'm at the low end, just-behind-the-bleeding-edge about 2 years ago I decided to more or less stop chasing the latest and greatest and more or less stop upgrading-other than a few key pieces of software, Sonar among these. Got onboard at the tail-end v2, and it has been a great tool at getting me to record and write my music. I've been using Sonar for about 9/10 years. ![]()
